"My son, Go West
Till it becomes East,
Ride the Waves
Till you subdue them.
The unknown is packed
With adventure, sandstorms,
Seas and shows, And most of all—people."
I stared at the milky galaxy
And plunged into discovery
A search for- what I called,
Naively but truthfully-
The heart of life, its soul
For I wanted to obtain it
Claim it.
How else to interact with anything
but through acquisition?
Acquisition of gold, territory, People, countries and planets?
When I have finally come near the end,
Where whales sleep forever,
And the sun rests with the moon
Where the sea is only a drop
And butterflies' wings flap stronger
Than thousands of human inventions
Life's heart whispered to my mine own,
"My daughter, go to the East,
where you have come from, till it becomes West."
Her words showed me another galaxy
That of the soul,
Where greed and possession
don't exist
And where a small seed
And an eye's tear
Embody all there is to know about
The East and the West,
togetherIn a beautiful harmony
Dancing to a secret song
Only the daughters of the East know
Beyond the oasis and quick moving sand
Where home and adventure are but one.
